Pump is on the horizon! Two phog masheeen events!



What is Pump you ask, a couple of weeks of sonic myrth and merriment all around downtown Long Beach! The particulars are included below.
Two phog masheeen events are included in the greater Pump event. You can see us Saturday 10-7-17 at the Packard Building from 5PM to 10PM. William Almas will be bringing the Retina Burning Visuals. We are doing a 20 minute set every hour. The venue will be packed (?) with performers in all the different rooms. It should be a really fun night!

The other phog masheeen event will be held at the east village arts park http://www.longbeach.gov/park/park-and-facilities/directory/east-village-arts-park/
The date is 10-15-17 from 6:30 to 9:00 pm. This event with feature Circuit Benders with Beats. We seen this sort of thing in Long Beach before with Disco Noise and Club Bitmap. For this event we are returning to Club Bitmap! William Almas will be returning with his visual overdrive projections to round out this elegant production!

PUMP 2017: Multi-Sensory Arts Festival Comes to Long Beach This October

Long Beach, CAFLOOD, the artist group that brought SOUNDWALK to Long Beach for 10 years and recently inaugurated “soundpedro” at Angels Gate Cultural Center in San Pedro, is pleased to announce PUMP (Public Urban Multi-Sensory Presentations). This arts festival, October 7–21, will highlight works by over 50 emerging and mid-career artists from throughout Southern California. Participants will not only see art, but they may hear, feel, smell and taste it as well. Works will be exhibited in spaces that range from storefront windows and a small park, to a former showroom for Packard automobiles that was built in 1926 and the massive interiors of what used to be an ice storage warehouse near the Port of Long Beach. All exhibitions and events related to PUMP are free and open to the public. Parking fees may apply for some locations. About FLOOD
The artist group, FLOOD has been working together on projects since 2003. FLOOD is interested in testing the limits of artistic expression through collaboration and experimentation within a variety of artistic genres. Current members of FLOOD are Kamran Assadi, Frauke von der Horst, Nick Dynice, Betsy Lohrer Hall, Sheriann Ki Sun Burnham, Victoria Bryan, Kay Erickson, Jon Cicchetti and Marco Schindelmann.

WVE9 an epic success! Next up, Soundpedro! Date set for next years Wonder Valley Experimental!

WVE9 was smooth as silk and was well received. Add to that the press support and you have a great year for the festival!

The date for WVE-X or Wonder Valley Experimental #10 is March 31, 2018.

Phog masheeen on UB Radio Salon this Sunday 1-22-17...


There is big excitement for Phog masheeen on UB Radio Salon this Sunday 1-22-17. The performance features Niah Pixie and dAS from Big City Orchestra and phog masheeen collaborating. The set is from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Pacific time. If you would prefer the time co-ordinates in Grenwich Mean Time, that is 1:00 to 3:00 AM Monday GMT.
There is a theme for this, "Inter Tidal Zone."
So if you know any Mollusks or are indeed a Mollusk. This set is for you. Tune on in!
